Oh my goodness, where in the world has the time gone? This week I will hit my year mark! WHAT?! That is insane! It just boggles my mind, I still feel at times like I am a new missionary. But then these kind of things come up, and it hits me that I am not a new missionary.
This week has been so amazing, seeing the many miracles that the Lord has here in this special part of His vineyard. Wow!! A couple hours before their baptism, the Martinez-Farias family gave us a call and said that they were going to wait to be baptized till next week. We were concerned with this call and so we asked if we could stop by (before the baptism) and just talk to them. And so to their home we went, and at first they said that some of them were "sick" and we offered to have Branch President give them a blessing. We came to the knowledge that it was just nerves, but we didn't want to force them, so we shared Luke 22:42-43 and Eccl 3:1-8. We testified that it was their time, we knew it, they knew it, and Heavenly Father knew it too. And then they decided as a family to act in Faith and be baptized! They were ready, just a bit nervous! They were baptized and then confirmed the next day at Church! Wow!!
Met a new investigator this week and he is awesome! Called hime Tuesday and met with him Wednesday and Thursday! Went Caroling by his house Thursday evening, and he called his girlfriend in Venezuela (who is a member) to hear us (not sure if that was smart or not, haha just kidding we sounded alright)and then he came to the baptism on Saturday and Church on Sunday!
It was really awesome to see and talk to my family on Christmas! Strengthened my testimony that this gospel is to help our families. I love my family! The one I was born into, my church family, and the family I've gained on my mission! :) Love you all! And Happy New Years!
Love,
