Dear Family and Friends,
This week has just flown by! It was jammed packed and full of fun!
This week started off by having a Family Home Evening with the branch! A Family Home Evening generally consists of a lesson and then an activity, and generally some food afterwards. I have LOVED serving here in this Branch, they are family! :) I've learned so much from each of them, and I've been changed by their stories, examples, and their testimonies! Ended the evening off by starting an exchange!
Also this week, a big, and I mean BIG group of missionaries got together to clean a cemetery! It was quite some fun, and quite some work! And it was the perfect weather! The days before the project were above 100 degrees, Sunny and very desert like, UGH. But the day of the service project it was overcast and was in the 70's!! Most of us wore our WYM t-shirts- and we were kind of hard not to miss! :)
Then the next day we drove up to Wenatchee to have an all Spanish Missionary conference with our visiting Area Seventy, Elder Daniel L. Johnson! I had met him last fall at the Othello Stake Conference, and it was super cool to see him again! Then the following day we had our normal Zone Conference in Yakima with the Johnsons! And then an MLC with the Johnsons afterwards too! It has been such an amazing privilege to be able to learn from the Johnsons at these three distinct meetings, that all connect on helping us in our purpose- not only as missionaries but as children of God.
This week we had a really amazing lesson with this lady we've been teaching. When we were going into the lesson our main goal was to get inside the door- and when she opened the door she let us right in- something she hadn't done with the last couple lessons. She had some questions about the Restoration of the Gospel, Joseph Smith, and The Book of Mormon. We were able to answer her questions, and when we invited her to continue acting in faith, she said she wanted to read some more of the Book of Mormon and then pray to know for herself if it were true. So that's what we left her with, and she wants to know for herself if it's true!
Father's Day activity with the Branch was a major hit! Like I've said before- one Big Happy Hispanic -with some whities- Family! :)
Hope everyone has a great week! Happy Father's Day to all Fathers!!
Love y'all!
Love,
Hermana Dee
