Hello Family and Friends,
Wow, another week has come and gone. And another Transfer is coming to a close! Time just seems to be going faster and faster. Snow is pretty much all gone here in Yakima. And trees are starting to bud! Spring is coming/is here! Who knew, only February and it's in the 50's!
This past week, due to the high temperatures, the river flowed over! And flooded some trailer parks, and flooded some roads! When we returning to Yakima after a day in Toppenish, we were detoured from the exit we wanted to take- it had flooded- and instead had the opportunity to get a cool photo! This was not one of the worse locations, this was one of the better locations, but there were places that water was as high as truck tires. WOW!
This week we were also able to witness two beloved daughters of God enter into the waters of baptism! The building that we normally have baptisms at had already been occupied, so we were using a different building. However, there's catch, the water heater at this other building is faulty, and the water was SUPER cold!! But the Spirit warmed those who were in the baptismal font right up! The Spirit was so incredibly strong, there aren't really even words to describe how I felt, besides gratitude that I was able to be a part of the conversions of these two who I consider family. :)
I am grateful for this time that I have to serve and to share the love of our Heavenly Father with all those around me! I am so grateful for the light and direction the gospel brings not only to my life, but to those I teach and those I love as well.
Love you all!
Love,
Hermana Dee
