Hello Family and Friends! Hope everyone has had a great week!
Yesterday, the Northern half of the WYM got to meet together and have the first ever WYM Zone Conference!! And it was even more special, we had Elder Packer of the Seventy with us and we had the opportunity to hear from him and learn from him!! I was also randomly chose to have an interview with him before the Conference, so that was an awesome birthday present!
Some things that really stuck out to me were:
As missionaries, and as people in general, we should be doing things that move us towards becoming who our Heavenly Father wants us to be. We shouldn't just wait till someone comes and does things for us, this is a time for us to learn. We may stumble, we may fall, but we can always get back up and keep moving forward. I learned a lot about myself and I learned things I can do to improve. That is one of the blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we can always change. We can always turn and start following the path our Heavenly Father wants us to take. President Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the First Presidency of the church once said, " Our destiny is not determined by the number of times we stumble but by the number of times we rise up, dust ourselves off, and move forward."
And we can do just that. We can always keep trying, we need to just have the faith and the hope to be able to change. Hope is the belief, and faith is the acting on that belief.
One of our Investigators are preparing for baptism for this upcoming Saturday! And he is amazing! When we first started teaching him, he just wanted to Bible bash and ask a million questions! But as time has gone on, we've seen a change in him. He's more humble, and he asks our Heavenly Father questions through prayer.
I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to serve my Heavenly Father, and to be His missionary. I know that this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and that as we follow and live these teachings we will draw closer to our Heavenly Father. I know that this is a gospel of change, changing ourselves into who He wants us to be. I am so grateful to be serving with all these wonderful missionaries, they are such an example to those around them and to myself as well.
I hope everyone has a great week!
Love,

Some things that really stuck out to me were:
- Be deliberate [diligent] about doing the things that matter most.
- Be[come] changed, be[come] better than before.
